Last week, I decided to take the three younger of my 4 children to the movies. The older teen decided to meet up with friends. The husband was away as he always seemed to be and the younger two had been having Amazing Spiderman 2 on their wish list for what now seemed like ages to them. And so Mommy decided to finally go on the webbed adventure. I ( Read more... )

I wish I could kick the lethargic husband out there...;) or let him handle things for a while till his wife takes a break..:)...as far as the couple ..well yeah we hardly know much to judge either of them..maybe it's the wife's anger that's been converted into her lack of taking up responsibility.
But yeah very relevant topic in today's time...especially when every third person i know is either getting divorced or having marital issues...I guess both are to be blamed in such scenario and I would sympathize only with the kids who end up being a mute spectator in the entire drama. It's a sad situation actually.

Writing wise loved how you explained the reason for people to seek happiness out of their wedlock and it truly more than just sex that leads to extramarital affairs..hope whoever you wrote about is at peace with himself/herself as of now..:) Interesting Perspective and actually something which makes me scared to commit to someone easily.

Oooopps did i instill a fear of commitment in u ???? :) Wife taking a break .... thats fantasy darling .... atleast where we live.
All it takes is a bit of care and something as simple as " How was your day " ... If only people realised.
Thank u for reading :)

You are right, so much of what goes on in relationships is not easy or simple at all. There is always so much history that is not apparent to us when we get a glimpse from the outside. Blaming and judging are so impossible.

relationships are truly complicated in these times. A persons individual history , their history with their partners and with others ... end up making the whole relationship so complicated. Within the relationship communication is the key .... however communications outside the relationship is what is taking place these days.

Thank you for stopping by to read. I really do appreciate it.

This is such a thoughtful and beautiful take on both sides. The place where you switched into "I am Maya" was a surprise and really made this fascinating! You're right - it's not usually a torrid love-at-first-sight - it's meeting someone who empathizes and listens and is there when you feel alone.

Thank u so much for reading. Yes that was intended to be punchline of the piece. Thank u so much for stopping by to read ..... :) I really do appreciate it ..... and yes its all about people just caring a bit more in their relationships insteadof taking it for granted.

I'm glad it's fictional, and yet... you show so clearly what can lead to an affair. Being repeatedly taken for granted and having nothing but wall-to-wall duty will set you right up.

Its amazing what five seconds of kindness does for someone whose cup is empty and life is empty as well.
Yes-- so well phrased.

Thank u so much for dropping to read. That line is my second favourite apart from " I am Maya ". It was meant to be poignant and well I am glad the line resonated with you.
Taking people who matter for granted is a sure killer and yet we often do it always .... again and again .....
