my new film, has been hard to put together. For some reason casting has been difficult. Lots of drop outs. I was able to have 20 actors and 6 crew members total on "Shotgun!" with no problem what's so ever, and this movie has half that number and I've had so many problems. I'll get it done but it's been difficult. I guess "Shotgun!" was a case of beginner's luck, which is essential to motivating people according the wonderful book The Alchemist.

I keep writing in more scenes at the last moment. This film will probably be misinterpreted as bad, but the thing is it's supposed to be "bad". It's like Indiana Jones, but even more horribly exaggerated, especially some of the ways people die in it. The deaths in the movie will be the best part of it. For instance;

"JACK URBAN punches SMITE out, causing SMITE to fall into the pit of poison ivy. SMITE gets tangled in the plants and fidgets. He starts rubbing his eyes and covers his face with his hands. He lets out a horrific scream, followed by opening his hands to reveal his face swollen-red and bleeding.

JACK URBAN
Poison ivy..."

You'd have to see it but I have three scenes finished so far and from what I've edited as of now, the movie is looking pretty good. I promise you it will be entertaining. I'm intending not to get arrested but this is the most risky short film you'll ever see, complete with a car chase and a gun shoot out (blanks of course). My brother Dylan hooked me up with assault rifels and other hand guns. He has lots of connections so it won't cost us a lot at all. $40 at most. There are no close range shots at all, so it's completely safe. He was in the Army and has lots of knowledge about this stuff so he will be supervising.
