Congrats to UConn. Okafor should rock at the next level. Of course, that's what I said about Ed O' Bannon when he took the Bruins to the title in '95...oops! Oh well, not like any money's gettin' put down on it...without any takers that is. The first pick in the Draft should *at least* go thru 2 or 3 years of college, Lebron aside.

The shift yesterday was easy...too easy. Got in at 4 pm, had 3 hours of set-up time, got that done in 30 minutes. Got to spend about 1 1/2 hours digging into some decent red beans 'n rice, collard greens and cornbread followed by "Police 911 2!" action. Motion sensitive games, when they're calibrated for people over 5'6", rock. I should get paid to blast Japanese crime lords "all" the time *grin*.

The hits kept on coming. *Sports Geek Moment* The function was held in Wild Coyotes (the sports bar/country bar/strip club) during baseball's Opening Day and the aforementioned CBB Div. I title game. Got to watch my Astros blow a 4-1 lead in the 8th thanks to their manager's loathsome incompetence with pitchers. Larry Dierker, their previous skipper, was great with the pitching staff. Wade Miller just hasn't been the same since he left/got fired. Roger Clemens will probably go crawling back into retirement halfway thru the season after dealing with Jimy "I'll go chat with my Ace long enough for him to tighten up and groove a fastball to Barry Bonds" Williams. Teams always fire the laid back manager in favor of the hardass, except after reading Red Sox-lifer Bill Simmons' posts about Mr. Williams, it's more like he's too senile to remember why he makes his moves in the first place, so that's why he won't explain his methodology. *ranting done* Also my Rangers blew a late lead, though nowadays that's expected out of their bullpen *sigh*.

Sat. was worth mentioning, if only because it proves which folks are getting jumped on without fail. LaDonna, our ex-construction worker/truck driver, doesn't hold back with the sarcasm regarding that. These folks crack my ass up sometimes.

Had a very stupid halfway made-up song stuck in my head while doing coffee this morning. Have to write it down so its spirit will be transferred to cyberspace:

(to the tune of "The Inquisition" from "History of the World: Part I")

The Circumcision, what a show,
The Circumcision, don't ya know,
That since I got one,
I'm get-tin more plaaaaaaaaaaaaaay,
Well the Circumcision's here
And it's here to staaaaaaaaaaaay! (fin)

Be gone! The Power of Christ compels you!
