Not Only A Dongsaeng Anymore

She used to think that she would be forever a 16-year old dongsaeng to him.

She blamed the accident that they had 5 years ago, when he said she was sexy and she cried. Well, she still a baby at that time, keroro and goguma were her world. Boys, on the other hand, were annoying distraction, especially because many of them were saying lame words to her, praised and worshiped the ground she walked by.

She sometimes wished that the accident would happened two years ago instead, when she finally understood why her friends envied her because she attracted boys wherever she went. Problem was, she only want attention from one particular boy - no, man - but it seemed he was the only one who did not see her that way.

He seemed to like bubbly and cheery girls as he always hovered around her Yoona, Sooyoung or Qiannie unnies. There were uncounted events that she envied the affections that he thrown very easily to them.

She did not realise that some people might already aware of her feeling. They were watching Super Junior's Super Show in Seoul, when Changmin-Oppa, his best friend in the entire world, whispered to her, "Seohyun-ah, Kyuhyunnie does look good in white, right?". She was speechless, did not understand why her Oppa said that to her, and felt her cheeks burned like a red tomato. Fortunately, her motherly-like unnie, Tiffany, jumped in by playfully punched the meanie Oppa's shoulder, "Why Oppa, are you jealous?". This successfully moved the attention of everyone to Changmin's protest, "yah, he does not have a chance to compete with me!".

She started to build the tower around the feeling then. Guarded it very carefully, so no one, again, and in particular him, ever know it. She was so sure that he would never see her more than a 16-year old dongsaeng.

Until early 2010, when all of them were being called for a meeting to prepare the next SM Town World Tour. She found him sitting far behind with his eyes closed. She debated with herself, whether or not she should approached him or not. She used to let her brain won over her heart, but even the walls could not hold the worry she had when she she saw his face so gloomy and tired.

She looked for him once the meeting finished, and found him at the roof with his eyes closed and the wind breezing his face. She braved herself and slowly touched his shoulder, 'Oppa, how are you? You looked tired. I hope you stop working so hard and take good care of yourself.'

She had prepared herself to receive a snap from him for disturbing his peace, for the evil maknae was known for his wrath. However, what she had was instead a surprised, as he turned his eyes right back at hers, smiled, and did something that she never even dared to dream of.

He took her hand and brought it to his lips. Her fingers trembled but he kept them firm in his. She felt like she could faint the moment his lips touched her hand, so she unconciously closed her eyes. But then he leaned to her, and whispered in her ear, 'Hyunnie, how about making me better by practising a duet together?'

Her eyes fluttered open, looking directly back to him, worried that he just teased her like usual, but found nothing but pure admiration from the man. So what else could she do but nodded shyly?

She always known to be a rationale person, always question and find answer before agree with something, yet when he pulled her into his chest and hugged her tightly, her only thought was that he might not seen her only as a dongsaeng anymore.
