unfortunately, you've discovered a very sad fact - the media, like most everything, is geared towards the powerful/whoever someone wants it to be geared towards. I personally think Ron Paul is a great candidate. If there's more he's said that's been kept from television viewers etc, we, personally, are losing out. either way, sorry to hear that..

Not so hot on Paul, I like healthcare and capitalism not running rampant. But that's no excuse for not holding a fair debate.

true. as for healthcare, it would be nice if we had a system that actually resmbled britain/france's, but i seriously doubt that will happen any time soon, if any time at all. hillary was a good spokesperson on healthcare until about 1996.

Exactly my point. We're never going to all agree on political positions, but everyone deserves to be heard at least.

McCain said (a least) one incredibly stupid thing about the war (didn't see the debate but read the ABC reportage). To Ron Paul:

"Congressman Paul, I've heard him now in many debates talk about bringing our troops home and about the war in Iraq and how it's failed and I want to tell you that that kind of isolationism, sir, is what caused World War II."

Really, McCain? You're reading a different history book from me, because I seem to remember that World War II started with an illegal invasion of another country.

I kind of get weirdly fannish about politics - terribly excited about debates and stuff. I'm following the US elections because we're not going to get any until probably 2009, maybe 2010.
