Hola! Thought I should do an SPN info dump as I've been a bit LJ-absent as I have had coiledsoul down under for the last couple of weeks.

* The first 5 episodes of the season are written.
* The writing team for this season is Jermey Carver, Bob Singer, Andrew Dabb, Dan Loflin, Jenny Klein, Robbie Thompson, Adam Glass, Eugenie Ross-Leming and Brad Buckner, and returning are Nicole Synder and Eric Charmelo. Ben Edlund has left to work on Revolution with Kripke.
* Filming dates for Season 9 are 11 Jul 2013 - 24 Apr 2014
* Season 9 will premiere on Tuesday October 15th at 9pm after the Vampire Diaries spinoff The Originals. The late start date for the season is based on last year's successful strategy which saw the CW hold off its premiere's until after the network heavy hitters were out of the way. I would also expect them to repeat last seasons programming with minimal mid-season breaks - with only Thanksgiving, Xmas and Easter seeing breaks to the new episode schedule.
* There will be 23 episodes next season.
* On Twitter we are still tossing up whether to call it Season Fine or Season Divine.
* The crew in Vancouver starts back at work this week. Why not send them a postcard! Address on the SuperWiki front page. As far as I know there are no major changes to the crew this season.
* Misha will direct episode 17. Jensen has said he would like to direct again, but it is unclear if this is locked in. In the last 3 seasons he has directed the first episode filmed, but did not want to do so this year due to the birth of his daughter. I would expect we will also see some of the crew directing again.
* Supernatural will have a panel at Comic Con on the Sunday in Hall H with Jeremy Carver, Bob Singer, J2, Misha and Mark Sheppard. Zach Levi is again running Nerd HQ, so lets hope Jared does a panel there again. Check the Super Wiki Comic Con page for updates.
* The next Con is the Roadhouse Con in Brasil on July 5/6th, followed by VanCon at the end of August. W00T - I will be in Vancouver again, cannot wait to meet up with everyone.
