So yesterday was declared Geek Day by me and
tomoffinland74. We started the day embracing our inner zombies and heading off for the Melbourne Zombie Shuffle.
I was a zombie swine flu victim with big globs of bloody snot dripping from my snout, Tom was a zombie call centre operator (and no cracks about its great that i didn't need any makeup!) There's a more awesome pic of him (taken by me!)
hereThere was a great feeling of zombie pride amongst the hundreds who gathered to shuffle through the city calling for BRRAAAIIIIIIINNNNNS. The most awesome things was the sheer delight and bemusement of all the Saturday shopping crowds and tourists. Must add that shuffling is HARD WORK. If we weren't dead before we were afterwards!
Two of the best moments were on the way there (in the care in full zombiness) when a car tooted us. Tom was about to go into some zombie road rage only to look over a see another zombie driving the bar next to us! And aftr the shuffle finished down at Southbank, and everyone dispersed, you could see zombies at various bars and eateries along the river! It was so surreal. And of course we greeted each other with BRRAAAIIIIIIINNNNNS.
And then that nigth we shuffled off to the awesomeness of Star Trek at IMAX! If only we had some energy left for some x-boxing it wouldve been the perfect day of geekiness.
