Back from Central Australia and am exhausted due to heavy conference schedule combined with many kms of walking and moderate but continuous alcohol consumption (it seems to be compulsory in Northern Territory to view sunrise and sunset each day with a glass of wine in hand!)
Here’s a mini picspam:
Hotair ballooning at sunrise over the desert. Stunning experience, but why is it I forget I am scared of heights until after I decide to do this things ?(see also: bunge jumping 2005). The basket on these things is VERY small. I was humming Metallica the whole time. Breakfast after consisted of champagne with guava juice, chicken, quiche and chocolate cake.
Arty desert shot. Is that an Impala in the distance?
Uluru - i have about 100 photos taken at various times over sunset, but i think you get the idea.
Rock paintings at Uluru. Rebecca, the local Mutujulu woman whose family and ancestors painted these, explained that these weren't ceremonial or decorative, but rather this was like a blackboard at a school. The concentric circles represent how to find waterholes in the area.

I hopped online briefly to check the wonderful Jensen reviews and revel in the appearance of Jared at the play - oh boys! but please let me know of any juicy bits I may have missed.
I know the big bang fics are being released now so must start reading , and bookmarking.
I also managed to post my fic One last good day at spn_heraea for Team Angst.
My prompt was Motel Porn - and I assiduously did my research by watching pat per view porn in my hotel. Oh the sacrifices I make for this fandom!
