Money and Work and Will's adventure
Was told money would be in my account on Tuesday, assuming he was paid and that he would let me know if he couldn't pay me. So no money in account and i'm accruing fun and exciting bank charges. So husbit phoned the ex-boss and demanded to know what was happening. He'd (apparently) done an internet banking transfer but that it was still pending and he didn't know why (i have suspicions. Rather like the month he couldn't explain why the money hadn't been transferred to pay 3 staff members one month) so cancelled it and told Al he would bring the money in cash this evening. Got a text a little while ago saying he won't be here til 9:30, which is fine and all cos i know that Al is quite happy to phone him every day until i'm paid and he doesn't have the hang up of knowing the guy thus developing stupid guilt.
The thing is, he's not a bad person he just shouldn't run a business cos he doesn't know what he's doing. He's full of good intentions, but we all know where that leads...
Anyway, hopefully will be receiving my money and able to put the whole crappy experience behind me and move on to better things.
The temp job is going well. They want to keep me on for the foreseeable future, which is good. I like the people i'm working with and the work itself isn't too bad and they're getting me to do more and more stuff because they're pleased with me (they're calling me their personal Office Angel) so feeling positive. Web design course is also going well - gone a bit slowly whilst i've been sorting out this crap but i'm really enjoying it and interested in what i'm learning so all good there. And i'm finding time to read again so feeling awesome and shiny and like life is back on track. *phew*
Oh, also had a post card from the little brother. He's left Singapore and arrived in Vietnam safely, although he's staying in a very touristy area so everywhere he goes everyone is trying to sell him stuff. He makes a point of telling me he avoided the drug dealers. He's planning on sticking to less touristy locations for the rest of his travels. E was quite jealous - her post card apparently was more boring and along the lines of "arrived safely, am jet lagged, bye".

EDIT (9:40) not getting paid til tomorrow morning. Neither of us impressed. His blag seems to be that he was going to give me his money on his way home from a job but when Al spoke to him he said he was at home so why the bloody hell didn't he pay me on the way there?! Sounds to me as though he never planned to pay me today. I wish he would just be honest for once!
