(no subject)
so I guess it's time for a sort of update.
around aug 15th I'm officially moving to kent, I have a studio apartment and enough time to look for a parttime job before school starts if I don't become the department's semi-official handyman. my first task as being a kent state student will be fixing the humongous Loom that isn't working.
things are just happening so fast and it's all kinda weird.
btu I'm looking forward to my classes, learning about making textiles and industrial uses and such, plus I'm being encouraged to take courses from the fashion and art department. the bad news is I have about a year's worth of classes to take to catch up to the other gradstudents before I can become an official part of the program. ah well. my department head was just happy I knew how to use a computer with photoshop and that I could draw.
I shouldn't be afraid, I can usually concharm my way into getting a job, and I make friends easily enough. I won't have much internet until I get a job and can pay for it to be installed in my apartment. but it's all good, I can always go downstairs and leech it from the lobby.
I'm really hoping to take a knitwear design course. esp if its the one that lets you use the computer-assisted knitting machine. I could use a few sweaters.
I'm just going to sit over there for a few minutes and cry. it's all good. really!
