The Boondocks S3 EP4 - The Story of Jimmy Rebel

May 24, 2010 12:59

Short synopsis today.

Sorry for the rush job folks.

It IS finals week.

--OPENING--

*Episode begins in 1967 with a young Jimmy Rebel performing his racist ass-backwards song for a bunch of ignorant rednecks.

*Fast-forward to the present. Granddad and Ruckus playing checkers. Ruckus is listening to Jimmy Rebel on his headset. Granddad thinks it's absolutely racist (and so does everyone else in Woodcrest who has come by Ruckus anytime soon).

*Ruckus wrote a song (racist of course) and sent it to Rebel. Rebel gets it and instantly loves it. Takes a trip to visit Ruckus.

*Ruckus is about to shit bricks as he meets his all-time favorite country singer. And worse to this tale, he LIES to Rebel about him being the real Ruckus. He says his name is Toby and that Ruckus was a proud white man. LIES.

*But this started a fun time between Rebel and "Toby" as they spend the next two days together.

*Then Rebel asks to speak to Ruckus, but was told yet another lie that Ruckus has some kind of "baboon disease". Ruckus takes hold in Granddad's house. Granddad is in the bedroom and has Rebel speak to him (thinking it's really Ruckus) through the door.

*Rebel's racist music titles pinch a nerve with Granddad and throws both of them out of his house. Truth time. Ruckus reveals who he really is and Rebel kind of had a feeling but doesn't care that Ruckus has "re-vitiligo" and invites him to do a collaboration with him.

*Once there, the record executives were shocked by this. The fans didn't take to the decision either. Rebel still thought this was a genius move.

*After a crummy performance and bar-brawl, Rebel goes through a revelation with his music and this decision completely shatters Ruckus and Ruckus leaves.

*Back in Woodcrest, he's back with Granddad and then Rebel comes and they make up.

*And now they go back to doing a song about blasting Mexicans.

"Adios Burritos" -- Uncle Ruckus
