When I returned from work yesterday, there was a little grey cat near my doorstep.  I tried to shoo it away, but I think that the foolish, little, feral creature loved the attention or something.  Once I lifted it up and set it down further away, I entered my apartment thinking I was done with the foolishly foolish little thing.

My cellphone battery died today.  Not the new one I got today (it came with the plan) ... no, the one I used back home died.  I know it wasn't going to recieve any calls from Earth, but it serves as a reminder that there was a call I was looking forward to.  I suppose thinking about it makes me feel somewhat homesick ( Read more... )

This is ridiculously foolish; no more than a night ago I was in my office in Germany, preparing for a case (which I would admit was a relatively minor case, except all my cases are important to me).  This morning I'm being told I'm on Mars, and having paper work shoved at me.  This is utterly absurd.
