The First Florist Trip

Yesterday I went to two local Floral shops with my parents just to start brainstorming on the type of flowers I would like for the cerimony, bridal party, and reception. The colors I hope to use are various shades of lavander and dark purple. I also would like to use either soft yellow or cream colored flowers to lighten up some of the arrangements. What colors would you girls and guys pick for your wedding? As I said in one of my earlier entries I had a lot of ideas for my wedding as child that I failed to jot down anywhere. It's never too early to start planning for your wedding.

I spent about two and a half hours looking through their catalogs with my mother while my father waited outside. He claimed he would be fine in his unaircondition car and that he wanted to wait for us. Also that he preferered the heated van to the girly stuff in the Florist shop. I even checked on him an hour into looking through the catalogues to ask him if he would prefer coming to pick us up later. He said he wanted to wait for us and to let him take his nap. We wouldn't have left him out there for another hour if we had kept better track of the time. During the last half hour he finally came in with some ideas of his own for center pieces which surprised me. Another surprise was that my mother and myself kept selecting the same types of flowers. We never agree on anything like that. The only flower I am positive that I want in my boutque is the scotish thistle. Once my father came in I realized how long we were in the florist and spent the last half hour prying the catalogues from my mother's hands.
