rode a bus for awhile to see the pacific ocean covered in fog and mist, and there was this suspension bridge that whimsically appeared out of the ether from time to time, so fucking fantastically whimsical.
and then we desecrated some ancient emperors burial mound by jumping the fence and climbing up the side of it instead of walking all the way around to the proper entry point. amazing view of the city from up there, at that point we could see the whole bridge we were just under at the waters edge, and i now know what awestruck really means in context. could see osaka and mountains on the other side, just wow.
and then there was a subway ride into the city (im leaving out all the walking around bits for the most part, but they were pretty awesome as well) and once in the city we wandered into a few building i dont think we were supposed to be in before settling at some variation of an english pub type thing where we showed the bartenders how to traditionally prepare absinthe, which we then very quickly chugged, so as not to incur the wrath of our gag reflexes, had a happy little time there, before moving along to find food.
dinner was great, the most memorable part being my visit to the ladys room, having to squat over a hole in the ground to urinate after a bit of drinking, not something to take lightly, but at least there was toilet paper, so it didnt become the experience it couldve been.
another subway trip later and some more walking...
we ended up bowling and randomly spazzing at an arcade before heading home.
ummm, had it not been for the fact that i vomited profusely shortly after getting home from too much foreign food and excitement, it was a damn near perfect day.
and now im off for kobe beef and prolly more public transit and walking about.
awesome.
