>Be really, gut-wrenchingly sick over a weekend with combo of stomach flu and horrible TMJ flare
>Shakily recover, but have weird pulse, chest tension, and fluttery heartbeat
>Go to GP because of family history of heart problems
>Pulse is normal
>Blood pressure is normal
>Get EKG, have a small extra heartbeat (SVT)
>Prescribed rate control medicine and aspirin
>Get referred to specialist on the other side of town
>There's a cardiac specialist with good feedback, and in my network, IN THE SAME BUILDING AS HER OFFICE, WTF
>Go to other place anyway because referral
>Given ANOTHER EKG, this one doesn't show the SVT
>GP didn't fax my records over, so no record of the original SVT
>DIDN'T EVEN SEND THEM A DIAGNOSIS OR A REASON FOR THE REFERRAL
>A nurse, an intern, and the doctor ask me the same series of 12 questions
>Doctor makes a fat joke using my last name as he's walking in the door
>HAR HAR I TOTALLY HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING LIKE THAT EVER U SO CLEVER MR. DOCTORM'N
>When I tell him about my TMJ, "But TMJ makes it so you can't eat, how are you so overweight?"
>Keeps pushing questions about my weight, diabetes, and bad cholesterol even though my bloodwork is great
>Insists on stress test and ultrasound, neither of which are not covered by my insurance
>I have to pay over $500 out of pocket for these tests BEFORE THEY WILL EVEN SCHEDULE THEM
>Leave
>Schedule new patient appointment with a new GP

EPILOGUE:
>Find out on own that aspirin and prescription have a counterproductive drug interaction
>Quit taking aspirin because if I quit taking the rate control medicine I COULD HAVE A HEART ATTACK
>Awesome

MORAL:
Don't go to Dr. Burns-Serrano unless you like being turfed to inconvenient doctors instead of treated.
Don't go to Ohio Heart Group, ever.

doctor woes, problems, sick, tl;dr, raaage
