(no subject)
So the last two and a halfish weeks or so, have totally been chill time for me. Which, while it was much needed, I'm glad I'm going to camp on the 23rd. I need things to do (things that keep me busy) or I get bored easily. This time off has however allowed me to catch up on reading, which is cool. Or, more accurately, read an entirely new series that I stumbled across by accident.
I was looking on audible.com which is a site that has audio books, that if subscribed to, you get one book a month for like $10 which is awesome. I was browsing the books, and I came across this sci fi series by Kim Harrison, and I decided to read one. There are six books in the series, and I've already read five. And, two short storries. So, clearly, I like them. I like finding good books. Even when the author kills off one of my favorite characters.
In other news, I saw Lauren and Leah this week. Lauren and I went out for dinner last night, and Leah and I went out the night before. Good times... I feel like I hadn't seen them in forever.
Additionally, I've gone to numerous graduation parties recently. Jackie's, Dawn's. Thus, I've gotten to see a lot of people recently. And I will be seeing even more. Thursday's my Birthday, and I used it as an excuse to get all of my favorite people together, some of whom I haven't seen in far too long. So, after Saturday, I will have seen most of the people I wanted to hang out with before camp. And that, makes me happy.
Speaking of Dawn, at her graduation party, she got a gift from one of her friends, from this place called "lush" which, for those of you who don't know, is a place that makes hand made, all natural cosmetics, like lotions, hair stuff, it's basically a great big girly store, though they do have a men's line. I'd heard of it before, and decided to go exploring. And although it's a little pricey, I've decided that I love it. The salespeople were quite possiblly some of the nicest salespeople I've ever encountered, and I have no complaints about anything I bought. Everything smells amazing, and is working really well for me. And this is saying something, because I generally have some complaint or another regarding that type of stuff.
Yeah, it's the small things that make me happy. What can I say?
