Seattle cops have a bit of a reputation. Remember the recent G-8 riots?

"It is not this officer's duty to tell you what he thinks of your son or his behaviour. It is not this officer's duty to tell you how to raise your child. It was his duty to bring him to you, or lay charges.
...
It is the policeman, who when confronted with ill manners (such as he expressed), who must remain neutral and not let it get to them. This is not a good example of law enforcement, however, with labour shortages you will see even moreso that many cops are just gangsters with guns and the law on their side."

I agree with this totally.

There are some good and some bad. The bad ones usually have interpersonal issues. You could probably get him in trouble for that with his superiors if you wanted.

That said, a cop made my day today by agreeing to be the signing guarantor on my passport application. :D

i totally agree with kennycreeper too! i am writing a letter to their liasion officer. i think they need to be eduacted as well as them going into schools to educate the kids...they have to hear both sides!

plus if he had come up to my door with the blank face of authority and not spewing insults at my son and in turn me, i would not have had to step into the role of defender of my son...what ever could have been accomplished was undone by my having to validate my kid. although when the 2nd officer came out and we talked like humans my son grasped things better and i was able to be the parent and not the advocate...yup, he's in trouble.

i am glad a cop made your day today though! where is this validated passport taking you to?

The passport will take me to the USA next time I go. Passports are mandatory after January 1, thanks to that fucktard Dubya.

Hopefully Belize, Cuba, and Mexico soon as well.

That cat analogy is briliant!

yes, i love the cat analogy, kyle said he thought of me cuz i am always saying it is so much easier to be nice than a big bully! if everyone operated that way, how different the world would look!
