i have class in 23 minutes.....

i'm definitely going to go to this class, but my professor is seriously at least 20 minutes late to every class so that gives me about 45 minutes ....i'm looking pretty good time wise. this will be my first class back from spring break. i went to miami from he 12th through the 19th, i am VERY tan and VERY well rested, but i do not want to go back to school, or deal with all the crap that i put off until after break. such as a 25pg paper due in 2 weeks. i'm hoping all the whiny girls in my class will get a due date extension but i doubt it.
break was a good time, i definitely drank a lot less than expected, but all that fun in the sun wears me out. it was not unusual for me to be in bed by 10, and then every morning i would wake up before 9. The one night i DID get really drunk was in south beach. we went to some super hard to get into club (i dont even know why)....we waited 45 minutes to get in. THEN there was a $20 cover THEN we went to first bar and got 2 shots of jager, a vodka cranberry, and a corona for a grand total of $37, followed soon after by 2 lemon drops for $20. all i have to say is i'm glad we stayed in most of the time because it is EXPENSIVE.
I have really fallen in love with my new hometown of Absecon in the past couple of weeks. It is a very small and close knit town with lots of active and involved families (my own family is SUPER involved, playing and coaching every sport etc). early in december a 13 yr old absecon girl was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer. She had multiple tumors removed from her stomach and started chemo immediately, but unfortunately nothing was working.for about a month she, and the whole town, knew that she only had weeks to live. shelby brought the entire town together. children raised money, having bake sales and selling "we love shelby" t shirts. every telephone pole and tree had a pink ribbon on it (her favorite color). benefits were held to help pay for medical bills, my own sister raised $10,000 by organizing a dress down day at her catholic high school. shelby was so strong, she was prepared to die and she kept her whole family together holding them and wiping away their tears. she was such an inspiration to everyone. shelby died on the 15th, and then the whole town turned pink. pink "we love shelby"s were painted on everyones cars, and at her funeral there was no black, only pink. her last planned benefit was held the night before her funeral at a small local restaurant where they raised over $100,000. i am so proud of that little town, and so inspired by how this one little girl brought so many people together. sorry if this is a downer, but i just think everyone should be touched by her life. you can check out her amazing smile at her website www.weloveshelby.com

anyway, im still waiting to hear back from law schools. i want to find out soon so i can get an apartment ASAP for after graduation. i cant move home with my little kitty cat for he will surely bite all the children....

.....so i dont think im going to class anymore. DAMN YOU AIM AND LJ!
