Today I:
- Finally bought a new saddle for my bike - Serfas Rx Women's - and
- Removed my old sad saddle and
- Installed my new saddle and
- raised my seat because it's been too low for months and
- leveled out my new saddle
And I did it all in about ten minutes and all by myself. So far, the saddle's exactly what I wanted and needed in the non-squishing department. I can see myself doing fifty miles on it, easily, which is nice. I was a little worried when I was looking at it in the shop, because it seemed kind of gigantic compared to my old saddle; when I compared the two I realized that my Serfas is a little bit bigger, but not by much at all. And it looks more like the size I think it 'should' be when it's on my bike. (Yeah, I'm weird, what can I say?)
That was really the biggest thing that happened to or for me, today, other than getting to escape from "work" early. Now I want a nap, but I'll probably go read or poke at people instead.
all by myself,
bicycling,
blithering about cycling,
cycling,
i like my bike,
look what i can do!,
back in the saddle,
hooray for unsquished bits!
