Cowboys and Giants today, super awesome game. Neck and neck for the whole thing. You knew, by the end, that it was all going to come down to whether or not the Cowboys managed to make the field goal. The funniet (and evilest) thing about that was that when their kicker, Gramatica (BEST NAME EVER) went up to make the kick that would basically decide the game, the geniuses handling the music decided to play "Under Pressure". Totally wrong, but hilarious nonetheless.
That Gramatica kid ... is a tiny little thing. Or rather, he's tiny in comparison to everyone else out on the field (He's 5'8"). So whenever he would make the extra point or a field goal and the team would surround him in celebration he was completely and utterly dwarfed. Seriously, it looked like Make-A-Wish day and Gramatica was the lucky little guy who got to run around with his heroes ... very cute.
So do you know what an entire day of watching football means? Not doing my Pop Culture paper. And being here in LJ Land? Yeah, that's not doing my paper either. This is so painstaking! All of the research and all of the making it go together is killing me. Also starting to think I was a bit overly ambitious in thinking I could cover what amounts to four decades worth of horror movies. Revision! Honestly, I think the reason that I'm struggling so much on this paper is because it's actually something I'm interested in and for that reason I want to do good - I need to do good because this is an area that I dabble in. And if I do bad ... well, it doesn't actually really mean anything, but, for whatever reason, it's important to me to do stellar. (Which is probably also part of the reason I'm procrastinating so much.)
I was truly hoping to get this turned in on Tuesday when I do my presentation, but I'm not entirely sure that's feasible at this point. I'm already starting to overdo this paper - spending too much time on wording and organization and just generally over-analyzing everything which is the worst possible thing you can do with a paper. It's going to be my downfall.
