OK, while the winter biking them has mostly been pretty happy-making so far, today was an object lesson in why it is perhaps not always a good idea. All right, this weather is fired. Even Kiska is not enjoying it, and she has a lot of fur and is usually a fan of snow and winter. Since I know a lot of my LJ friends are avid gardeners and may have plants out already (be that in the ground or on balconies), I thought I should mention in case anyone hasn't heard that there's a frost warning for the Toronto area (and most of southern and eastern Ontario) tonight, due to the unseasonably cold temperatures we have been having. OK, update: the lights in the living room, and in fact on the whole front circuit (living room and stairs) have been flickering madly, and when not flickering are extremely dim. Kitchen circuit, where the computer is plugged into, seems fine so far, though. *knocks on wood ( Read more... )

It's getting colder in here, as the wind rattles the windows and what heat there was trapped inside from when the heaters were still working (which they were as of 5 am last night when I went to bed) slowly leaches out.
