Negative Nellies
It has been a relatively productive day at work this morning and afternoon. We have a another big meeting regarding the new housing project at 3:30 pm and hopefully, if it goes well, things will be back on track for Fall '09 opening. I hope it goes smoothly! Other than that, I have just been working on my to do list and steadily crossing things off. However, that lingering feeling of not actually wanting to be here, working for UD, is still there. We went out to breakfast this morning to thank our student workers and everyone was complaining about various students and issues. It was first thing this morning and I was still in a good mood about having a nice weekend...but they launched right into the negativity and ended my happy spirits in less than an hour. I just don't want be surrounded by people with such a negative attitude. Granted, most of this attitude is a disapproval for how students conduct themselves regarding alcohol...and I feel the school is to blame for a lot of it since they provide alcohol at all major events and sell it in the food court area. That's a long diatribe and I'll hold off on that for now.
Okay, I should get back to work because there is still more to be done. Hopefully I will post a longer update soon about life beyond work.
