Adam hated to see anyone cry. He always had, even when he was a kid. Jess didn’t like crying either, though it was mostly her own tears that made her uncomfortable. She figured it pretty much made them the perfect pair. Except something strange happened when they finally got together. Jess realized how safe he made her feel, how good it felt to just be herself when she was around him. She could even cry in front of him, fat tears rolling down her cheeks, and let him hold her, and believe that everything was actually going to be okay.
