Lindsay opened her eyes when she felt Danny climb into bed. He smiled at her, reaching down to softly touch their daughter's stomach as she lay in the bed between them.
"Morning," Danny murmured.
"Morning," Lindsay said. "You have the whole day off?"
"Today and tomorrow, thanks to my overtime."
She smiled widely. "We like it when you're off. We miss you."
“I miss you too. Maybe I should tell Mac I need a maternity leave.”
“I’m sure that would go over well.”
He laughed. “So, do you have big plans for us for the next couple of days? Want to go see my ma?”
“Maybe tomorrow.”
“What about today?”
“Today we are doing absolutely nothing, except cuddling like this and enjoying the fact that we’re all home together,” Lindsay said, scooting close to Kate and letting the baby wrap her fist around Lindsay’s fingers.
“That sounds like an excellent plan.”
