Summary Danny and Lindsay enjoy a quiet moment

Lindsay shifted in the bed, surprised to find that she was more comfortable on her side than her back. She absently touched her stomach, where only hours earlier her daughter had been. She stared into the bassinet next to the bed at the tiny bundled, swaddled in her pink blanket.
“Danny,” she said softly.
“Yeah?’ Danny whispered, standing over the bassinet and staring in awe at his daughter. Their daughter.
“Come here.”
“You okay?” he asked, kneeling at her side.
She nodded. “More than okay. Will you lay down with me?”
“Of course,” he answered. “You’re sure it won’t hurt?”
“I don’t care if it does. I just want to feel you.”
Danny nodded, carefully slipping into bed behind her. He waited for her to adjust her body and get comfortable before moving closer, snuggling up to her. His arm wrapped around her waist, tenderly stroking her skin as they stared at the baby.
“She’s perfect,” he breathed.
“She’s ours.”
Danny kissed her temple. “You were amazing.”
Lindsay smiled. “I couldn’t have done it without you. I would have lost my mind.”
“You would have been great,” he assured her.
“You know,” she said after they sat in silence for a moment and watched the baby, “our snuggling is going to have to expand now to include the baby.”
“I know,” he said with a smile. “I’m still going to get plenty of one on one snuggling with my favorite girl from Montana though.”
"I love you Danny. I love our daughter."
"So do I.”
“Aren't we lucky?"
"Ridiculously," he said, kissing her head before they snuggled closer and drifted off to sleep.
