another cold and grey day in Pittsburgh

It has been awhile since I wrote in here.
Today is the 3rd straight day in a row that it has been
grey and therefore ugly in Pitsburgh.
And what I mean by this is that
you wake up at 9AM and the daylight looks the same as if it were 5PM.
This makes me a very unhappy person as I thrive on sunshine.
And warm weather....
Right now I can see snowflakes falling !!!
But at least snowflakes are beautiful to watch
as they swirl down from that ugly, grey sky !!
So...I emailed grad school to find out when we would be told whether
we have been accepted or not accepted.
I thought for sure it would be
this week (for the Spring term) but now
they are saying that they have not made final decisions
YET and that we will know by next week.
Ughhhhhh.......
This does make me a bit anxious as going to grad school would give me the opportunity to finally get involved in projects with Africa.
But...I guess I will just have to be patient.
This is hard to do however as I have to admit I can not even
begin to think of what I will do job wise
if I do not get accepted.
I NEED to be in an international city and I need to be doing some
kind of meaningful work on the international level...or else !!!
Then again, I did find an interesting program with SIT (School of International Training) where I can go to Mauritania and get certified in TESOL, if all else fails.
I would not mind being in Nouakchott as the Sahara desert fascinates me.
Things to do today :
1) gym
2) get a massage ??
3) library
4) order books on Ayurveda at BArnes and Noble ??
