I have finally found a time-zone that fits my sleeping habits!!
So far, I usually wake up between 9 and 11:45 [not too bad for summertime], and I get insanely tired around 11 or 12 pm. HAH, I think it's funny; all this time I could've been living a healthy life over on the other side of the world. Anyway! It's just about 11pm right now, which is about 8 am Seattle time [I'm 15 hours into the future, y'all], and Taiwan's traffic is like wading through molasses, so we walk all over the wonky city, so I'm bushed and completely touristed-out, so quick run down of the things I've done in the last couple days [plus a sudden-death Chinese lesson round!]:
*Chiang Kai Shek [fork spelling! am tired!] Memorial Museum -- obsessively-exalted former president over here. he has about a zillion medals of honor! if he put them all on at once he'd be crushed under the weight! I HOPE YOU'RE LISTENING, G.W. BUSH.
*Ye Olde Chinese Clinic [zhong yi] -- um. not really a tourist spot, just a personal errand, but basically have to endure expensive and beastly Chinese herbal medicine 4 times a day after each meal and once before bed, which means that all the gorgeous food that I'm eating [and that you're not! gloat!] is being ruined immediately after.
*Night Market [ye shi] -- YAYUH. bought 3 shirts, 4 bras, and a gallon's worth of boaba/bubble tea, all for under $40 U.S., bitches & hoes!
*Random Little Temple [xiao bai-bai] -- Prayed & burnt some money [literally!] & got my fortune told [getting married @ 28 & having two kids, apparently. nice to know!]
*Taiwan 101 Building [yi ling yi] -- This is either some kind of Taiwanese World Trade Center or a massive mall or both, and it may or may not be the tallest building in the world right now [don't quote me on that!]*, but I do know for certain that it has the fastest elevators in the world [My stomach can vouch for it.] Actually, all the buildings in Taipei are insanely tall bc there's no ground space left so they just have to keep building up and up, and there are huge billboards and loud advertisements and brights lights & big city, and it completely trounces New York City. [THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID IT. Come n' get me, Jenny !] [edit: yup, it's currently the tallest building in the world, after the late Twin Towers]
*Also, pig ears are delicious. [zhu er-duo]
omfggggg, bed!
