Crazy Weather!!!
So I was leaving the mall to go meet up with my friend Tamie for dinner and this is what I saw when I walked outside:
And I was like O_O So yeah, kiddies, that is called a "Shelf Cloud" (the horizontal rolling looking clouds... I have affectionately dubbed them "impending doom" clouds).
When I was driving, to TGIF, I saw what appeared to be a wall cloud (otherwise known as a funnel, or the beginning of a tornado), but I didn't see any rotation, so I wasn't horribly worried. Here is what it looked like:
At this point, the wind was picking up something fierce. Tamie and I decided we should go in before it starts pouring and we started walking toward the door when we saw THIS:
Really, I should have recorded it, because it was moving SO fast... It was amazing, yet scary at the same time! The next pic is the last pic I took before we went inside... And you can see Tamie taking a pic too ^__^
So we went inside and when it hit, it frickin HIT... It looked like a hurricane outside. The power kept flickering. It went out altogether for no longer than 5-10 seconds, but still... Craziness. The waitress ended up telling us later that she heard form a customer that a tornado actually hit across the street... So maybe what I saw WAS a wall/funnel cloud!!! Had I known, I would have shat myself!!! >_<
