SGC, Colorado Springs [Saturday Morning Fandom-Time]

Feb 13, 2010 01:09

It had been a long couple of weeks. Since McKay sent the data burst transmission to Earth in the 1.3 second wormhole activation, John had barely slept he'd been so busy. There'd been Teyla's weird telepathic link to the Wraith plus the sheer insanity of a full unit of Marines arriving courtesy of a ZPM SG-1 discovered back on Earth (of course they'd solved Atlantis' problems, half the team had ascended once), plus John strapping a nuke to his puddlejumper and ramming a Wraith Hive ship. It was sheer luck that Caldwell and the Daedalus had arrived when it did and used their fancy Asgaard beaming technology to pull his ass out before the explosion.

With the addition of a ZPM to power the city's shield and cloak, they'd then tricked the Wraith into believing they'd blown Atlantis to hell rather than allow the Wraith to conquer her. When it seemed the ruse had worked, John, McKay, and Weir had gotten shot back to Earth in an instantaneous wormhole for a major IOA debriefing. John was pretty sure he'd never had his choices so fully examined in his life.

Sixteen hours of nonstop talk later, John finally had fifteen minutes to himself, a turkey sandwich, a working computer....and a bunch of e-mails.

"Well shit!"

John hadn't expected six months in another galaxy would equate to more than six days for Jaina in Fandom. He started to compose a reply, but all his words sounded weird and a little awkward. Chewing on his sandwich, John logged off the computer and kicked the chair under the desk. Looked like he was going to be spending his break talking his way out of the SGC's Cheyenne Mountain Complex for a few days.

[NFB, NFI. Mmmm I managed to summarize four episodes in two paragraphs. *prouds*]
