I thought about Granville Island today, and the public market there, and decided it's a good thing I went last week with my parents because if I had to go again before moving, I think I'd just sit there all day and weep. The kids all had their first day of school today - 9th grade, 7th grade, 6th grade, 4th grade, and 1st grade. They laid out their clothes last night (well, I don't know if Anderson did, but everyone else) and by report were all up very, very early this morning out of excitement. They're all so much older; more themselves. Rainey, who I remember as the constant whiner, has become so complex. Her personality, different parts of her self, continue to unfold before my eyes.
