I have an unusual project.
I want to find good historical photographs of storefronts, so I can learn more about paint color placement. I know the photographs will be in black and white, but it will inform me about placement through noticing where lighter and darker colors are put and any calling out of details. I'm sure that I could get access to the photos at the libraries around Boston. That's not the problem. What I need to do is get them scanned so I can use them for educational purposes. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this without breaking the bank or who I need to call just so I can get them to consider it?
If it does cost too much, I suppose I could try pursuing some grants, which I am needing to do more and more these days. (I think the Gods have decided it's High Time I Wrote Several Grants.)
