inertia
last night as i was trying to get to sleep, my head was full of things to blog about. sadly, now that it's morning (uh... close enough), i'm having trouble summoning any of them back to the conscious side of my mind.
i'm working my way though a mountain of laundry so that i have plenty of options for my trip. i'm thinking that if i'm smart i might even be able to pack EARLY. crazy, right? meanwhile, the most enticing task on the slate for today seems like something kitchen related. yesterday i only managed to make a mockery of the basement, and i think i've overwhelmed myself to the point that i'm afraid to look at it anymore. at least i have hope for the kitchen... it's a bit of a godawful mess at the moment, but i have two lovely new shelves for storage, courtesy of the new kitchen cart, and even when it's a mess the kitchen is usually fixable. might take a couple loads of the dishwasher, but that is ok.
for now, i'm off to set the bread machine (baking a loaf of honey-wheat for chinako!) and shower. mom's coming to pick me up for lunch at 2, which is quickly creeping up on me so i'd better get my ass in gear.
