Mmm Bop...bop bop doo wop!

I bought my 8 year-old cousin a CD player for Christmas (a cheapo $10 model from Wal-Mart). She's so obsessed with my ipod that I thought it'd be a great gift. Well, her parents are kind of strict and her dad said she couldn't even open the CD player if she didn't have any CDs to play, and her parents aren't exactly the "CD buying" kind.

I promised to burn her a CD before I left for school, but I didn't. And it's a month later and my dear cousin STILL has no CDs (as far as I know). When I left, she was kind of sad because I got my other cousin (also 8) a CD player as well, and she's a spoiled twat with loads of CDs to play.

So now, I'm putting together some songs and I'm going to burn her a CD because I have nothing else to do at 7:30 on a Saturday morning. I figure I'll just mail her the damn thing.

I have no clue what the fuck 8 year olds listen to. Hannah Montana? Cheetah Girls? Actually I refuse to download any of that shit onto my computer. None of that Kidz Bop ridiculousness either.

Right now, I'm just downloading the most bubble gummy, poppy songs I can think of. I actually feel dirty having downloaded 'My Humps' (anyone let me know if the lyrics are more than just "vaguely suggestive"--I'm avoiding bad language at all costs here.)

So far I have

Baby and I Wanna Be Down - Brandy (I have a few Brandy songs in the 'old school mix' on my ipod and she loves them. I wonder how she'd react if I told her they came out before she was born?)
Crazy in Love - Beyonce
Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani
Say My Name - Destiny's Child
SOS - Rihanna
Since U Been Gone - Kelly Clarkson
Get Out - Jojo
Shake it Off - Mariah Carey
My Humps - Black Eye Peas
Yo - Chris Brown

What do you think? Most of these are just random poppy/r&b songs I pulled off my music library (although, I had to download the Jojo, Chris Brown and BEP songs).

I need suggestions, because I want to send it to her this week. No Britney or Christina plz kthx.

ETA: So I just added Natasha Beddingfield's Unwritten and Deja Vu by Beyonce. I seriously canNOT believe I'm voluntarily downloading these songs.

The things I do for family...
