(no subject)
I rearranged my room yesterday. Effectively, I finally "moved-in" to my room--thus letting go of my determination to move out of this place by January. I was so, so close to getting that other apartment and getting out of here.
There was a point when I was moving my stuff around that it actually kind of looked like I was packing up my stuff. I'll admit it--I got choked up. I've been so focused on leaving here and it stings to have my hopes crushed. *Sigh*
Anyway, I'm not quite finished putting all my stuff back together. I still have crap in the middle of my room and trash and stuff, but I'm nearly done. I daresay I may take some pictures, too.
The biggest change I made was moving my bed clear across the room. Finally, I can watch t.v. and lie in bed at this same time. On the flip-side, my bathroom door will never again close all the way. It's a small sacrifice, though. I was so uncomfortable with my old bed placement because my window was at the head of my bed. I was always worrying about my head (or feet, depending on whether I was trying to watch t.v.) slamming into the window. I actually did pull down my curtain with my feet once. I just rehung it for the first time since then.
I'm also happy that I got to finally hang my crane mobile. I feel cheerful now when I look at it. Maybe even a little.....settled (sigh).
