whats goin on
So life has been pretty good since returning to the states. I have kind of just been doing the family thing. Helping out with my grandfather, who is now probably healthier than I am. (Not really, but you know.. its a good thing). I also am now employed by my father with a pretty kick ass job which I am trying to draw out until next school year with just some subbing in between. My parents have 12 acres of land in the Lafayette area that they want to develop into a subdivision. Well... my mom is always in Mississippi and my dad just doesn't want to do the work. So I get to do all of that. Go to zoning meetings, meet with real estate agents, civil engineers, contractors, etc. But the thing is its a job of a lot of hurry up and wait. I have A TON of down time. Which... I am afraid my father is going to pick up on and make me do other stuff. We will see. He told me to just chill out until January and see if I can get a teaching job then. Who knows what will happen. Oh, I am living in Breaux Bridge again.. not great, but not bad either. Its free... nuf said.
Upon my return I have made some old frienships stronger. Rebonded with some people. Also.. I have been meaning to call other people... coughcoughallmyBRlesbianscough... but suck at that. But everyone here seems pretty damn busy all the time. Like I said, I have ton of down time.. so free time is a plenty for me.
Ok.,. have to go now and ride with Byron to his parents to pick up a pot. Jambalaya, beers, and movies tonight. Love to all.
