Dilled Green Beans

I hate talking about the weather much here, because I was told at a young age that people who talk about the weather have nothing else to say and are only trying to make small talk….BUT, let me just say; I love this weather! The air is crisp, the nights are chilly, and there is a smell in the air that only comes around this time of year. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the days get progressively cooler, and the heat doesn’t return again until next year. Growing up in Washington state I never really appreciated the change in seasons. Now that I live somewhere where the changes are so minimal I greatly miss it.

On Monday I got my green beans canned (along with some red bell peppers and dill, which is what you see in the jars with them). I have much more canning to do this week. I plan on making some grape jelly tomorrow, as well as a red pepper and balsamic spicy jelly.
