Procrastination at its Finest
So I have a 5 page paper due tomorrow that I'm one sentence into- this is turning into classic Ally and I don't even care. At least I'm making an outline for it so once i start it will fly by.
So it finally snowed in DC- i like to pretend that's why I'm procrastinating even though i know its just me. Snow just doesn't fit here, all the restaurants with their empty spaces that used to be filled with tables full of patrons now just have wet cement. For some reason snow restored the surrealness of living in the nation's capitol.
I'm missing the people from home and conserve. It was so great to have sarah here- having her spend the weekend just felt right. Plus I had a great time with her.
I don't get out and explore the city nearly enough. I think i'm going to go ice skating in the national sculpture garden on friday just because its one of those things that i feel like i should do living here. Plus it will most likely be a good time. Maybe I'll stop by the White House on my way back to see the Christmas tree. I heard the lighting ceremony was really beautiful. Theres so much to do this month that its hard to focus on school, and studying and such. I'd much rather hang out with the ADPi girls, go see the baby panda (Tai Shan- check out the pictures, so cute), holiday shop, and be with everyone.
