A public service anouncement followed me home the other day

*sings* I paid it nevermi-hind, go away!

Many thanks to James for reminding me why I love R.E.M. so very, very much. Most of their songs are way too fast for me and make very little sense when you think about it, but I don't particularly care. They're bouncy, poppy and get stuck in my head. I love them to bits.

French was very fun last night. I got used as an example because I said something remarkably stupid that seemed to make the teacher think I needed to be the subject of our little story in French. You see, the thing about Ben (the Professor) is he'll be going along saying a perfectly normal sentence and then BAM, he'll throw a weird question at you, just to obliterate your feelings of comfort. So yesterday he's proceeding in a very nice, lovely story about a young student at the University of Southern Spain (which he says in a hilarious accent) and all of a sudden he turns to me and says, "What's your name?" (in French of course). So flabbergasted was I that I thought he asked me an entirely different question, so I said, "...Uh..no?"

And 'no' remained my name for the rest of the class. He had me get up and do a little role-playing with this other dude (who looks like he's 13) where he was a Professor and I was a student and we greeted each other and all that crap. I was so embarrassed, but it was funny. Definitely taught me the phrase 'what is your name'. It also taught me that if I am not sure what the Professor is asking me, I shouldn't just say 'no'.

I also made a flurry of icons last night, so be on the look out for some new pictures accompanying my posts. This one *points to icon* is my favorite. I had a LOT of fun finding the picture that inevitably became this icons. Many pictures of women in short skirts. *happy sigh*

Oh and P.S. MY BIRTHDAY IS SATURDAY! w00t! *partyparty*
