I love House M.D. I want to kiss whoever writes all those little zingers that come gloriously rolling out of Hugh Laurie's mouth. Where do they come up with this stuff?
I went to go see the Lion King at the performing arts center last night and MAN was it awesome. It might have been somewhat more impressive if the people in front of me weren't passing their baby back and forth the whole time, blocking my view with each transfer. But it was still really cool. The costumes were incredible (such innovation!) and the singing was awesome. As always, my favorite character was Scar. What can I say? I'm a sucker for villains. And the actor inside that orangy suit was nothing short of dishy. Mrow indeed. The kids all went too and enjoyed themselves thoroughly. My little sister sat next to me and kept saying "WOW" over and over for the whole first 20 minutes. And there was definitely a lot to Wow about.
We also found out when Wicked is coming back to Denver and I would like so very very much to go and see it. I hear it's nothing like the book (which is probably a good thing) and is full of merriment and giggles. However, I think the tickets for that show sold out in August of last year so I'm not real optimistic about my chances. Bu we'll see, maybe I can work something out.
I do so love the theater. Such a shame that a bourgeois accent doesn't really carry over into text.
