You have got to be $#!@ing kidding me! It's supposed to be 104 degrees today!! I'm sorry, am I still living in Colorado or did I just suddenly get transported to the Sahara frickin' desert?! Seriously...And I thought yesterday was bad when it got up to about 95. I mean, I expected this kind of thing when I was living in New Mexico (Oh god, traveling there in August is going to be a nightmare...thank god we're taking the car with AC) but here in the rocky mountains it's really not supposed to get above 80 degrees in the summertime. I bet all the little ski bunnies are wearing damp cloths tied around their heads and carrying those little spray-fans.
If one more person asks me, "Hot enough for you?" I'm hitting them with my purse. I might even put a brick in there for the occasion. Damn irritating catch phrases...Of course it's frickin' hot enough for me you numbnut! I don't have effing air conditioning in my car! I've got to drive 50 miles from work to where my mom lives and then back another 20 miles to where I live. Does it seem like when it's effing 104 degrees outside that might be hot enough for me?! *stabstab!*

I'm thinking this weekend I might pick up the Chronicles of Narnia. Having not ever read them i think it might be wise to do so before the movie comes out so that I am appropriately prepared. Mom says you can read all 7 in one evening so I can't imagine it will be terribly invasive on my free time. I'm already pretty sure that I'm going to be in love with Aslan just from looking at pictures of him. Besides, Brian Cox is playing his voice in the movie and it would be very disapointing if I couldn't love him if only in light of that fact.
So I was reading the interview with JKR on Mugglenet last night and I just had to crack up at the comment she made about Lupin/Tonks. She said before the book came out she had been surfing the internet (something she says she does very regularly) and had found someone's comment on a certain ship which went something like "Tonks can't marry so-and-so! She has to hook up with Lupin so they can have multicolored puppies or something!" That amused JKR greatly as it did me. The idea of Lupin and Tonks having little pink puppies is at once incredibly adorable and terribly disturbing.
She also wouldn't answer the question about Snape being evil, but she said, "It's good to have hope." I don't want to hear that, Jo! I want to know that he's good and that everything will be all right, darn it! Why can't you just tell me that my first instinct was wrong and I won't have to hurtle Book 7 across the room in a fit of despair and rage as Snape start slaughtering little kids or something? Seriously...just can't make it easy on me, can you?
I'm gonna go dunk my head in a bucket of ice...
