no act of god could pull me away from you

Do you ever have one of those weeks where you sit down to watch a show or something, and try and remember what happened in the last episode (which aired at the same time the week before, natch) and feel like it aired a hundred years ago before you realize it's only been a week? Yeah, that has been my week summed up in a run on sentence. Holy moly. Those 26 hours spent at the hospital, the three days she spent after and the week I spent running the house after that were INSANE. I had to cook last night too, but it was more like collaborative cooking really. (Mum says we need to have a cooking show named Collaborative Cooking. "Today on collaborative cooking, we swear at each other and also cook risotto!") Also school is kicking my ass again. I feel like I've been there for months when inr eality it's only been six weeks and I still have five or six to go. Oh well. I'm going ice skating for the first time soon. Little things I guess.

Highlight of my day though: listening to the new Five For Fighting song again (I only listened to it once over the weekend due to net dying on me). People on the US ITunes store are saying it's not as strong as the previous singles, but I adore it to pieces. He always seems to come out with songs, or I stumble upon them, exactly when I need to hear them the most, which sounds HELLA CHEESY but is true. He always has this undertone of hope and "you have to get through the bad stuff to see the good stuff hell yeah" in all his songs. Please do visit the site and stream the hell out of the song. I'm so hopeful for this album. I'm also hopeful for Train's new album and Bon Jovi's - and all three albums are out at the same time. Speaking of, Mum gave me the new Rob Thomas album for helping out this week, AND I just got the new Augustana album in the mail. Oh world of music, you have decided to love me again, I see! Tra la la.

...Well, actually no it doesn't, because there is no legal way I can purchase any of the three singles from the yet-to-be-released albums because I'm not American. It's lame that the US ITunes store won't let you purchase without a US address and credit card. Apparently all I can do is try to scam a US ITunes gift card off eBay, and as it is I'll probably have to order Train's and F4F's albums from US Amazon anyway. I hate cultural lag!

Anyway, I was going to post some TV stuff but Numb3rs is on in ten minutes. Oh hey, hang on, I'll talk about that: I know that a lot of people weren't huge fans of season 5 but I'm adoring it so far. Charlie's clearance being reinstated was no surprise, but I love that they've turned it into Don having a lack of direction. Also that when Don realizes he has some issues to work out, he actually sees a counselor. I wish more shows had characters that sensible. Coming to the conclusion that he has an issue with not being punished and being in the same place forever, and going to church, was amazing. Sigh. Also yay Larry!

Final sidebar: That big news this week was that our minister for water went on a snow hike, fell down, got up, refused help, got lost, fell down again and then got found by the AFP (headline: "we helped!"). I'm glad he's not dead cause he's kind of cute. This is a bit of a "#nooneasked" lol. k I'll be back to comment and catch up!

music, personal, food, random, blatant promos, numb3rs
