Hello guys! So I had a nice weekend. I know there have been a few people on my f-list who have had not-so-nice weekends, which is a sucky shame, so I won't gloat about how nice it was. i will just say that there was gorgeous black forest cake we bought in Oakleigh (aka
sweetrina's turf, wot). Anyway, is anyone else in full on Christmas qrapping mode? Cause I totally am. I've been trying to make my presents look unique, which has basically means a lot of recycled wrapping paper from old Lush gift boxes and ribbons I've collected, and these
gift tags from Google Docs. For anyone looking to be inspired, I have a second delicious account with a bunch of ideas and things tagged under
gift wrapping and
gifts. I think my favourite wrapping idea is
this one.
Also, as we're having Christmas here this year, I just want to say that I told everyone in my family last weekend when they were here for my mum's birthday that all presents have to br CLEARLY labelled. The last time we had Christmas here (which was 2006) I was the one handing out all the presents from under the tree, and I had to do a lot of waving random presents around going "WHO IS THIS FROM/FOR?" while everyone else opened theirs as some of them insisted on not labelling presents or just writing "mum" or "dad" on them. Which of course doesn't specify which mum or dad or whether it's actually for my grandparents. And if anyone does that this year I shall pour sticky Christmas punch on their head.
I just want to randomly say that I know for a fact that I'm not going to like Chuck, no matter how hot he supposed gets or how many times he redeems himself. He sexually assaulted two girls in the space of one episode. There is nothing he can do that can make me like him after that. I don't think attempted rape is anything to just disregard, even fictional instances of it. The rest of it was kind of awesome though. It's trashy and lacking realism and substance (much like the OC), but still awesome in a glitzy-glam "we can afford to hire limos and go to a catered party every week" kinda way (...much like the OC).
Lots of linkage today!
-Crazy LJ news time! I'm sure you guys probably all saw/read the
news post with info on the permanent account sale and give more promotions since we all get messaged about it, but did you see it's acoompanying
release 43 and it's
design related changes? No? Well, that's what I'm here for. Part of that release including turning entry subjects into links to the entry on all most layouts, which can cause the colour of your subjects to change if you're using a CSS override.
In your overrides, look for the following section:
.subject a, .subject a:link, .subject a:visited {
color: #779D05;
}
If you can't find it then add it in. Open up Photoshop or your graphic editing program of choice and use the colour chooser to come up with the code for the colour your subjects used to be, and insert it in the overrides after "color: #". That should get your subjects back to the colour they used to be. If you're confused with it and want your subjects back to their old colour I'm always happy to help you out!
- Continuing on with news posts, LJ's come up with a bit of an
addendum to the redesign of the
redesign of the redesigned profile page. this is getting a bit confusing now, isn't it? LOL. But basically they want to change the profile page again since so many people are unhappy with what we have now and they're trying to figure out where to shove schools so people stop crying "myspace!"
- Australia TV time! Channel 9 has onsold Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Privileged and the alrady aired Terminator SCC to
Foxtel (that's pay-per-view for you North Americans).
Apparentally PD and Chuck in particular were considered too "niche" for Nine's usual mindless audience.
- For Steph when she comes back online:
Eric Bana being a fox at the AFI Awards. Yum!
-
Sneak peek at the first ep of Lost season 5. OMG Jack you crafty bastard.
-
The worst Supernatural vid ever made. LMAO.
AND THAT. IS. ALL.
