Hola. Just wanted to say sorry for last night's post, guys! I went a bit overboard and ranted, when ranting is usually an occasional thing for me. Honestly, despite my family being the way they are I have a lot to be happy about in this little life here, so let's just ignore the fact my parents are currently out buying an envrionment-killing plasma screen we can't afford and r-e-l-a-x. God knows I need to a bit. Man, is it hot in here, and not in the non-stop Nelly video way, either.
Oh, one follow-up on my rant post - Housten, we have a new monitor. I'm staring through it right now and it's preeeetty. My only gripe is that the native resolution is 1280x1024, and considering three users of this computer have wonderfully thick glasses and the fourth should really wear his more often, that's not ideal with the making everything teeny (and you can see why I didn't want the 1400x900 widescreen thing my dad was keen on). Currently I have this thing on 1024x768 which is a step up from our previous archaic 800x600, however. Everything seems so much more efficient at this size, and there's so much more room to work with.
Oh, and speaking of new shiny things: Christmas loot! Now, I didn't get a lot, but I did get like 8 CDs, LOL. It was funny, too, cause my mum wrapped each one individually which meant I brought the family present opening to a standstill as I unwrapped each one, which was followed by my 14 year old cousin being all "Who?". Also from my mum was the four movies I asked for as well as Numb3rs season one, and a couple of DS games.

This really nice sparkly top in my EXACT size that my cousin picked with my grandmother. I love my cousin for being there considering my grandma thought I was a size 16 (apparently my cousin's response to that was "Even Charlotte's mum isn't a size 16!").

New York Times Crosswords, which is the FREAKING HARDEST THING EVER omg
Oh, and my brother got a Wii, which is AWESOME, obviously. It'll be even awesome once I get this house networked so the net can be used with it. Speaking of, I've totally been in love with my Nintendo DS lately. I've been a gamer from way back and I'm loving getting back into it now, especially with the whole single card multiplayer thing meaning I can VS my brother or mum with only one game card. And obcviously I play my brother's games all the time as well. Currently I am playing New York Times Crosswords which is REALLY HARD OMG. It's excellent to play while watching Gilmore Girls and drinking coffee though. You feel all literary and winterlike.
One last thing: those of you into small fandoms or fics of all wonderful descriptions, the
Yuletide archive has just opened up for all to view. Authors won't be revealed until the first of Jan but I can assure you all of the fics are wonderful. I'll be pimping the ones I love the most out on my recs page, the LJ feed of which is
universe_says, so I encourage ye all to friend it. How is everyone going out there? Comment!
