Official countdown until my plane takes off: 16 days.
SIXTEEN
This is around the time when the nervousness starts to set in. I've been getting really eerie feelings about planes and stuff, but that's normal for me. Doesn't make them any less creepy though.
I feel so unprepared. I know I have everything I need, I've made my list and checked it twice a bazillion times, and all I that isn't checked off is clothes that I can work in. But Thursday is 'let's go to Winners and buy cheap clothing!' day, so I'm pretty much covered.
And besides the actual stuff, we've been having weekly meetings and building walls in the middle of the hallways during lunch (that garnered a few stares), and we've gone over everything. I can tell you the places on the worksite that you're most likely to have a run in with a black mamba and what types of vegetation we'll be seeing. I know when each build day is, what we'll be eating everyday, what to do in case I get lost in the bush, and loads of other crap but I'm still getting really freaked out.
God knows I'll have a nervous breakdown when it actually gets time to get on the plane XP
