Thanks for the comment, I hadn't realised that it was like dead man walking. I hadn't meant it to be, do you think its like that episode because Owen has death trying to use him as a gateway and you think something is trying to come through Jack and Toshiko, because that is an interesting idea and one I played with for a while... but I have gone in a different direction now and with the coming posts I think you will see that.

I don't see Gwen as annoying and I'm sorry that you think I have written her like that. I think she is a very emotional person who has feeling for Jack. When she sees that his eyes have changed colour and hears him speaking in an alien voice, she worries that he isn't who she thinks he is. From the teams point of view Jack must seem like a remarkable person, as he is able to come back to life. It seemed to me that when he starts displaying alien charactistics they might wonder if what they are seeing is the 'real' Jack and that he is some kind of alien... that was what I was trying to use Gwen to portray. I hope that makes her behaviour seem less annoying and makes the fic a bit clearer, I'm sorry if it didn't come across very well.
