General:

Thank you, Yuletide author, for putting up with me!

- I love, love, LOVE ridiculous idfic tropes. I always feel dumb prompting them, but please feel 100% free to completely throw out the prompts and write (or even combine any of the prompts with) any of the following: arranged or forced marriage/woke-up-married/pretending to be married, magical lesbian pregnancy, porn tropes (A/B/O and heat tropes in general, sex pollen, D/s universe, undercover at a BDSM club, etc.), stuck/handcuffed/bound together, huddling for warmth, wing!fic, soulmate's-name-written-on-the-body/other immediate-soulmate-recognition-stye tropes, hurt/comfort(illness, injury, torture, psychological trauma, etc., just as long as there is enough comfort to cover the hurt inflicted), Groundhog's Day-esque time loops, universe-hopping/woke up in an alternate universe...

If any of these appeal to you for any of my fandoms but you're not sure I'd like the combination or want more specific prompts, please contact me somehow, because I can totally do that.

- I also love cuddling and any little physical gestures of intimacy

- Happy endings. I don't care if they have to go through a lot of suffering to get there, but I prefer hopeful endings overall.

Dislikes

- Death of any characters specifically requested (the one exception would be pre-canon Dangan Ronpa fic that alludes to Mukuro's canonical death).

- My major squicks are permanent injury and/or disfigurement (I'm okay with pre-canon, offscreen stuff like Kirigiri's hands), people losing their ability to communicate (yes, these are both canonical for Hyun-ae; I don't mind references to what happened, but yeah, that part of the game was reeeeeally hard on me), and anyone's spirit being totally broken. Not that I really expect to receive any of these, except that they might have come up with Hyun-ae, but I figure it doesn't hurt to mention them.

Oh, I'd also like to note that I didn't specifically give gen outs for the most part, but I think a lot of the prompts could be done in a friend-shippy way instead if you're looking at my requests and panicking, and that would be fine.

Dangan Ronpa
Kirigiri Kyouko, Ikusaba Mukuro

Recently I've just been having huge amounts of feelings about these two, and I ship them so hard and think they have so much potential together. If you're comfortable with it, I'd really love some physical affection between them, even if just small things. I've received fic for them a couple of times in the past, and I loved both, but I'm always craving more. A lot more rambling and actual prompts in my letter.

Why I like these characters:

Kirigiri quickly became my favorite character. I love how calm she is in the face of all the things that happen, and I love how she just will not quit sticking her nose into the mastermind's business. I love that she's intelligent and competent and really hard to outsmart or shake off once she's hunting for the truth. But I also love her flaws: I love that she's kind of a weirdo! She sees nothing strange about patting down a corpse or reaching into one's underwear (hey, it's not like it was his socks!), and she jumps down a garbage chute like it ain't no thing. I also like her gigantic trust issues, how she's really slow to open up to somebody, and how she's very sensitive to any betrayal of that trust, real or perceived, and totally closes up again (to the most irrational state she ever reaches) in response. One other thing I love about her is how -- aside from she's in the aforementioned trust-betrayal-shutdown-mode, of course -- she's very willing to listen to people, to not take things at face value, because above all else she just wants the truth. The bit in IF where she finds Mukuro with Naegi in the nurse's office, asks for an explanation, finds it satisfactory and leaves Mukuro be is one of my favorites for this aspect of her character. I also like that she seems to have a great deal of empathy and understands people's emotional motivations despite seeming cold on the surface, which strikes me as unusual for characters of her archetype.

Mukuro's odd in that it's hard to get a sense for her from the game proper -- we know we see some of her personality shining through, but it's hard to tell what's her and what's made up for her Junko persona. It wasn't until writing her myself and then reading IF that I really fell in love with her as a character. I'm fascinated by the way she seems to have some deep self-worth issues, and the way that even though her sister generally revels in evil and berates Mukuro herself, she so blindly follows and trusts Junko that it even overrides her instincts (which Naegi manages to snap her back into in IF, thankfully). And I'm fascinated by the way seeing that blind trust betrayed changes her outlook. I'm fascinated by the way she sees herself as a rank and file soldier -- not a general, not a leader, not a strategist, just a person who follows orders, a person whose function is as a tool and a weapon to be wielded. I love that she's dangerous, too, that she is legitimately one of the most lethal characters in the DR universe. And of course I love the glimpses of humanity we get from her -- her respect for Kirigiri in the nurse's office scene mentioned above, her love for Junko, the bits and pieces of her past that can be gleaned from her Free Time events with Naegi(and I always wonder how the hell she came to be a child soldier, too). And I love that her smile is kind of alarming-looking -- it seems to fit well with the way she seems at times to want to reach out, but struggles with it, and struggles with seeing others' affection for her.

Why I like them together:

They're both very private people, and they've both had unusual upbringings that involved a lot of exposure to death, though in different ways. I think this gives them a surprising common ground, and combined with that scene in IF that I keep bringing up because it's basically their only major canon interaction (seriously, it's a crying shame they didn't get to interact more) and that sense of mutual respect, I think there's a huge amount of potential there. I also like the potential for awkwardness, with Kirigiri's less-than-clear way of expressing her feelings at times and Mukuro's also less-than-great ability to recognize affection aimed at her. I do think they also have the potential to hurt each other -- pre-canon Kirigiri is very dangerous to Mukuro, and Mukuro's conflicting loyalties to her classmates and to Junko could hurt Kirigiri too -- but I prefer if they do hurt each other, that they manage to fix it. I like the idea of them both being slow to affection and it being very powerful when they do finally make a connection. I also think that they'd work really well as a team -- brains and brawn! Plus Kirigiri can hold her own decently on the self-defense front and Mukuro's really not as dumb as she seems to believe she is, so I think they complement each other really nicely.

Some specific(-ish) prompts:

- Post-IF slow-burn relationship would be really, really lovely. It could be combined with returning to confront Junko (and fulfilling Mukuro's promise to bring her despair), or with attempting to integrate into the Future Foundation when the powers that be don't trust Mukuro very much, or with their group staying independent and Kirigiri and Mukuro working together to try to keep everyone alive, or something else entirely.

- Pre-canon or canon divergence (or, hell, post-IF) awkward teenage romance shenanigans. Failed or misinterpreted confessions! Unhelpful meddling friends! Passive-aggressive gift-giving? They are both so very, very bad at this.

- Canon divergence or post-IF detective buddies! Solving crimes, getting into scraps, just hanging around the office or the Future Foundation... Maybe they have to rescue a friend?

- Sex, of pretty much any sort. I am all for porn of this pairing: vanilla, kinky, first-time, established, in peacetime or in the midst of despairworld, it's all welcome.

- I feel like I should reiterate that I honestly love tropey fic, and would love tropey fic for this canon in particular. So if any trope stuff looks appealing, seriously, go for it. (Someday I will stop asking for a/b/o with omega!Kirigiri, but today is not that day).

Analogue: A Hate Story/Hate Plus
*Mute, *Hyun-ae

What I really want most for these two is post-canon (harem route, hopefully obviously) healing and adjusting and falling in love. OT3 with the player character is cool if you're interested in that, though I ask that the player character please be female. It's also fine if you want to have the player character gone or just not part of the relationship.

Why I like these characters:

By the end of Hate Plus, Mute was my favorite, which might strike some as odd considering how cantankerous she is, and some of the ways she treats the player if the player is a woman. But I feel really bad for her, honestly -- she's been steeped in this deeply misogynistic culture for several hundred years, and it's just really, really complicated. She's internalized a lot of it, obviously, but you also see the bits where it bothers her, and she tries to spin it so it fits -- she likes hanging out with men, mostly, in kind of a "not like other girls" way, and she lies about her ability to change her hair color, and you can see that she often has a lot of empathy for the women in the logs who are being hurt, but keeps viewing the causes of that hurt through the lens of the culture she knows. I think the clearest example is how brash and opinionated she is even though she believes women should defer to men -- when contradicted by a man, she tries to make herself defer, but usually doesn't totally drop it, either. And at the same time, just going "everything you've been taught is wrong, adjust" isn't exactly great, either. Her sense of identity is all tangled up in this culture, for starters, and with the whole of the Mugunghwa dead, the desire to carry on their memory is, too. And some of the values she took from this culture are ones she really doesn't want to let go of -- her belief in the importance of family, for example, although with time she might be able to recontextualize this somewhat. I just think she's a really interesting, complicated character, and a very real one.

Hyun-ae, on the other hand, is pretty different. By one metric she's older than Mute, since she spent that whole span of time between killing the residents of the Mugunghwa and the player character's arrival aware, while Mute was offline, but that was time spent very alone, and on the whole, in many ways she's much younger. At thirteen she was thrust into a horrible nightmare of a situation, eventually left unable to communicate (and beyond that left to the realization that no one particularly noticed or cared that she couldn't communicate), tried to cope as best she could as the years passed, while she was dying and lonely and everything was terrible, witnessed both of her lifelines -- her friendship with the Queen and sex with the King -- severed, and finally snapped. She... did not develop the best coping mechanisms throughout this, either, obviously. She latches onto the player really quickly, despite knowing nothing about them, and later on in the harem route of Hate Plus latches onto Mute in a similar way. And I think the game is quite aware that this isn't the healthiest thing, and I think it makes Hyun-ae really interesting. But Hyun-ae, at least, is presumably going back to a culture similar to the one she came from, and the path to healing seems a little more straightforward for her than Mute.

Why I like them together:

They have a shared history now, as the two survivors of the Mugunghwa, and it's, again, complicated by their respective views of the Mugunghwa and the way everything ended, but they share it nevertheless. They're also sharing the experience of coming into this new era together. They're also, well, effectively immortal AIs, and I think that really ties them together -- people will live and die around them, and they will still be the Mugunghwa's two survivors. I think that kind of connection is really powerful. I also really like the concern Hyun-ae shows for Mute in Hate Plus, and the way they start to get along. I think it might be surprising how helpful they could be to each other as they each work through their issues and try to integrate into this new world they've been brought into, and I'd really love to see it. I also love their banter, with Hyun-ae teasing and Mute being prickly but Hyun-ae mostly not taking it personally.

Some specific(-ish) prompts:

- Therapy. Seriously, just, all the therapy, for both of them, and perhaps tentatively navigating a new relationship at the same time while trying not to fall into old destructive patterns (and being there for each other even if they do).

- Hyun-ae helping Mute adjust to having a physical body! So many senses she's never experienced this way before. What if she tries some traditional Korean dish and hates it and is horrified and demands to have her tastebuds recalibrated? What about dancing? Sex is also a possibility -- it was one of Hyun-ae's sources of comfort on the Mugunghwa, so I can see her trying to offer that comfort to Mute somehow.

- The player character dies or disappears suddenly, leaving Mute and Hyun-ae on their own in this strange new world, with only each other to rely on, while they're still trying to adjust and Mute is still grieving.

- They all head out on a new assignment! Another recon mission? A delivery? A chance for Hyun-ae to be a detective again, or maybe for Mute to witness another culture or several that give her more perspective on her own?

- The player character's life is a goddamn mess, Mute and Hyun-ae soon find out. This could lead either toward or away from an OT3, as preferred.

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?
Kafuu Chino, Hoto Cocoa

These two are unbelievably adorable together. I do ship them a lot, though I understand if you don't. I really like the cute fluffiness of the canon, and would love cute, fluffy fic!

Why I like these characters:

Chino is adorable. I love that she's the youngest, and yet the most serious among them. I love that she is hilariously terrible at sports. I love how deadpan she is -- except when she's exceptionally miffed at Cocoa or feeling jealous -- and how it makes the moments where she does show affection all the nicer.

Cocoa is a gigantic goofball and I love her for it. I love her terrible sense of direction. I love that she's, like, some kind of math and puzzle savant (and I love how irritated her puzzle skills make Chino). I love how sincerely warm-hearted she is and how she teases Chino (and Chino's generally :| reaction to Cocoa's overenthusiastic affection, as well!)

Sorry for the noticeably shorter character bios here, but, well, the other canons have more complications -- Gochiusa is about the warm and fuzzies, full stop, and hey, I love it for that!

Why I like them together:

Chino and Cocoa are so cute together I can hardly stand it. The last two episodes were great -- Christmas presents! Cuddling! Sickness hurt/comfort! I consider Cocoa's quest to be Chino's "onee-chan!" less than literal, although I understand that not everyone agrees. I love the way they play off each other, with Chino as the straight man to Cocoa's goof. I like that, though Chino may profess to not enjoy Cocoa's enthusiastic cuddle attacks and constant familiarity, she gets jealous after introducing Cocoa to her friends and clearly does actually like it, deep down. I like that while Cocoa is friendly with everyone, she's friendliest with Chino, and that while she enjoys teasing, when she learns that she's legitimately upset Chino she gets distraught. I love that they care about each other a lot and the show keeps coming back to that.

Some specific(-ish) prompts:

- Stupid adventures (TM)! Cocoa's lousy sense of direction gets them lost and they have to find their way back/spend the night in a creepy mansion/etc. They get locked in somewhere together! They are coerced into performing as the leads in the school play (presumably after Chino reaches high school)! Really, anything along those lines, the more ridiculous, the better!

- Grown-up Chino takes over the Rabbit House. Maybe she and Cocoa run it together, getting into the same silliness they always have (possibly with more kissing), or maybe Cocoa left for a while and comes back and they have to reconnect (and maybe deal with unresolved ~feelings?)

- More sickfic h/c! Elaborate on Cocoa taking care of poor mumps-afflicted Chino, or give them new illnesses, or have one of them get injured (nothing too horrible, please), and lots of comfort cuteness!

- Ridiculous AUs or fusions! In SPACE? Sure! Fusion with a wildly inappropriate canon? Also sure! Just as long as it retains Gochiusa's lighthearted tone, I'm sure I'll love it! Something like this could also be framed as a story one of the characters is telling, too.

- Some sort of wacky confession shenanigans! Do Rize, Chiya, and Syaro meddle? Is Cocoa totally oblivious to Chino's attempts to confess? Does Cocoa keep misspelling hers?
