I was going through my box of old clothing that was marked for Ebay/Goodwill last night and suddenly realized that I can actually fit into some of stuff again.  One of the outfits was a vintage dark green tafeta dress that is good for swing dancing.  I just have to mend the seam where the thread has gone bad.  I am happy.... It pays to be a good tenant.  Last night I called my real estate company that I rent my apartment from and told them that the power surge took out my stove and oven.  I expressed to them that I needed it fixed today because I had things I needed to bake and such.  Well, the repair guy came by at 10 AM and now I have the means to make cakes and cook ( Read more... )

Okay, so you know that the horrible power surge yesterday took out my computer and I had to have the power supply replaced.  Well, I just now discovered that it also took out my stove and oven too!  I called my real estate company and told them that I need it fixed tomorrow!  I have a cake I need to bake for my friend's birthday party on Saturday ( Read more... )

I hate automated answering services.  I just want to talk to a live person and ask a couple of questions.  The pre-recorded information is not helpful and might I ask.... where do they get the people that do these messages?!  It's like they hired Eore from Whinnie the Pooh to do the readings.  Ugh!
