I just got stood up by my flute student.  She forgot to tell me that she wouldn't be here today, so I was waiting around and wondering where the heck she was.  Until I called her house and her mom told me that she is out of town for the weekend.  Oops.  Oh well, it didn't really inconvenience me.  I just had an extra half-hour before going to my ( Read more... )

I've quite pleased with myself right now.  I just finished composing a two-part invention, a la Bach.  (Except I'm not Bach, so it's kind of pitiful in comparison.)  It was my music theory homework assignment--I'm not so obsessed that just did this for the heck of it--and it was rather easier than I expected.
