Even with all the damage I've done to my brain, I can still recall that the very 1st VH1 Behind the Music ever was either Milli Vanilli or Lynrd Skynrd. All those years ago I was sure that the Guns & Roses one would soon follow, and after much disappointment & pretty much forgetting about the series, my wishes have come true! Am I embarrassed to admit that I know every single word, guitar riff, drum beat and/or yelp on the entire Appetite for Destruction CD? Not at all. Does my mom remember my telling her at age 10 that I was running away to Hollywood to marry Axl? Yes she does. Who knows and cares what's going on these days with him, but with the exception of Jim Morrison & maybe Mick Jagger, no one else could wear leather pants quite like Axl did back in the day.
