I went to my rheumatologist two weeks ago and I was approved for Enbrel, a TNF-inhibitor. It was time for the strong stuff. It hurt so bad the first time I gave myself the injection. Shoot, it hurt the second time too. But anyway, it has been two weeks. NO PAIN. No pain in my foot, my knee, my hand, my chest, my neck. I haven't had to take any ibuprofen the last couple of days. NO PAIN. I don't wake up in the middle of night anymore (unless something is making noise outside my window). The middle toe is starting to look less dead and have some contour back again. I finally got something that works for my arthritis. I'm so excited. With the pain gone, I don't have to take as many pills anymore. This is exciting stuff. My psoriasis got fixed. The arthritis got in check. Fucking amazing. The only thing I have to worry about is my immune system shutting down and I may get really sick. But I was always healthy before anyway. I can't believe it. This is my year. Everything is so much better than it has been in years.
